For Christmas I got a wonderful mixer.

It is A-MAH-ZING. I have not made too many outrageous foods:

Pizza Dough
Soft Wheat Pretzles
Cake (or sumsing) Napoleon quote
Sugar cookie bars...so yummy!! I got this recipe from Pinterest.

This year I am hoping to become a better cook. Maybe I will blog about it...maybe I will not.
Here are some recipes that I hope to try this week.

Maybe you will read how they go, maybe you will not. (Sometimes I wish my blog would write itself.)

Challenge

While watching the news this morning there was a person on who did not spend any extra money for one month!! As in did not buy any clothes, eat out, Starbucks, etc. I think I am going to take that challenge for November!! Crazy, right?? Christmas shopping is done in November. Most importantly Starbucks NEEDS to be drank in these chilly months!! I think I can do it, well at least I am going to try....

Okay I am already moving the start date up to tomorrow because the idea of not having my Christmas shopping done is looming. This challenge starts tomorrow and will end November 24th!!

Fair Time!

Last Friday I worked a both at our county fair. It was the Right to Life booth.

Now I have helped my friend Val work the both for the past couple of years, this year something was different, something was very different.

IT SMELLED!

The fair had so many dairy and beef cows this year that they took over the tented area to the north of our commercial building...you could see and SMELL cows from where we sat. So of course the smell of country has made me want a pair of cowboy boots...I have researched and found a pair! Let me know if you want to buy them for me :)

After our booth time was up, we wondered the fair...hope you enjoy the following pictures :)

I also watched Cassie do barrels, made me want cowboy boots even more!!

Imma Bird Watcher....

I am not this biggest fan of birds, so you may be asking your self why I was taking pictures of them.

Flipping sweet pictures too, I almost wet myself when they turned out this good!!

But then I told myself, "Casi, you are 26 not 76."

and then I did not pee myself.

Anywho, I am dog sitting and the dog will not relieve herself, she misses her misses. So I bring her to my fenced in back yard to run around, thus the movement makes her relieve herself. (sorry) But she whines and yips if I go in the house. Thus I sat outside for two hours with my camera and took about 400 photos of birds and poochies.

It is so cold I have peed three times.

In the toilet, not my pants.

The lady who gives me the potty key probably thinks I have the runs.

But that is not the case, it is the cold.

The cold is also causing my freshly shaven leg hairs to grow back.

I am currently obsessed with these super amazing treats. Please take some time, or all day to peruse her site!

Side note: My space bar is acting super weird.

Main note: Bakerella has a wonderful Cake Pop book with step by step directions and pictures to boot!

Here is my finished product and first attempt at making the cake balls.
Yummmm....

I wanted to start out small and move on up to making the cooler cake pops.
This was a lot of fun and actually relaxing!

Unfortunately my candy coating of choice was off-brand and coated very thinly.

For dark cake mix I would def use a dark candy coating as well!!

Also, they are so little you do not realize how many you have consumed so be-careful!
My next attempt is going to be the flower pops..YIKES ;) I'll keep you all posted!

Here goes, and you are welcome in advanced :)

I used my lovely stove top espresso maker (I usually get two servings) to make delicious espresso.

Set this aside while you prepare the glorious glass of yummy-ness!!

Fill a glass with ice...

Dump a big 'ol spoon full of sweetened condensed milk into it :)

Pour desired amount of espresso over said ice and sweetened condensed milk...oh glory, sweet glory!

Top off with milk, half and half, or what ever else meets your fancy.

I just spent the last fifteen minutes trying to find a movie on the DVR to watch...so I am thinking movies this week...my favorite movies run the gamet but my favorite is probably...

1.Sweet Home Alabama

I like Reese Witherspoon and the cute blue-eyed country boy...I pretty much love any country boy, but if they happen to be blue-eyed that is even better :) :) (that deserves two smiley faces)

2. The Italian Job

Mmm....Mark Whalberg...mmmm...okay, okay I am back.
I love suspense movies that involve law breaking and hot dudes...again, Mark Whalberg....

3. Nora Robert's Montana Sky

John Corbett as a cowboy...um, Yes Please!! There is this desire with in me to be a cowgirl but my allergies and lack of love for gross things, that will NEVER happen. So movies are my only window to that lifestyle. Oh, and Pioneer Women!

4. You've Got Mail

Classic! Plus is reminds me of my sweet cousin Rachel Christine South. Who has deserted me for the people of Japan. I am not bitter...well maybe a little, but she is coming home this summer to visit ME family and friends.

5.Easter Parade

I only watch this movie once a year, but I look forward it starting in February. Easter Parade means hanging out at the Relos house and eating Easter leftovers while singing along and usually making fun of Nadine...such a ~~skank ho~~ self-centered lady.

It is the little things in life that make me happy.

This week I am going to showcase my favorite YouTube videos... :) You Tube makes me happy!!

First of all....this video is HILARIOUS!! I unearthed while looking for Zumba on You Tube, and I laugh so hard whenever I watch it. Oh golly, it makes me cheeks hurt just thinking about it. If you have seen the Dancing Hands guy, this is like that but better :)

Ummm...I also like to watch people get tazed...and since I adore police officers....combining the two is hilarious!!!! (I would be in law enforcement if I wasn't in education)

Break a Leg

Tonight was the Logan Center's performance of Aladdin. I have been helping with it since Sara is in the play. It has been sooooo much fun hanging out with the cast and seeing them put together a great performance!!

This is where Aladdin is caught stealing an apple. They sung and had some scene blocking, there was some sword fighting, and capturing of thieves...

These kids sang some great songs, but the best was Christian's (Genie) rendition of "Friend Like Me". Christian was hilarious!! He did his own choreography, much which came from the movie. Just thinking about it makes me smile. That kid had style!!

This picture captures the night perfectly. Each member of the cast is on the Autism Spectrum...so
needless so say there was some wondering around, waving at friends in the crowd, forgetting lines,

telling others they forgot their line, and of course over-dramatic acting.

These are some of my favorite things about these kids, that kept me smiling ear to ear and trying to stifle my laughter...laughter makes them continue the behavior--good or bad :) They live to make people laugh!

I call this the "P-TOWN" crew. Sara (green jacket) and Christian (gold and black jacket) have quite the following. These two kids are truly loved and I am so glad that I know them and get to work with them :)

Of course we had to celebrate after. This is Alex, Sara, and Kimmy. Alex and Kimmy are Sara's school aide Christin's kids....did you follow that....ha. We walked to the Chocolate Factory and had some dessert. YUMMY!!

Like many people around the world, I celebrated the nuptials of HRH Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

In style too, if I say so myself :)

As well as a Royal Wedding, we also had a royaly fun birthday party too!! It was Heidi's 25th birthday!!

The food was delish, my favorite was the Creme Brulee...I feel as if I could eat about fourteen right now.

One Year

Yesterday we celebrated Issabella's first birthday!! I cannot believe my niece is one, her actual birthday is April 21st. Cami and Seth took Bella to Chicago on her birthday. Bella is walking around like an old pro...it makes me heart so full of love it feel like it could burst!!

Seth's brother had a bounce house, that all the little tykes enjoyed very much!! Though they usually face planted on the way down the slide...as if that was the proper way to descend and not your hiney. I just hope they learn to use a slide correctly as some point in time :) It would be pretty awkward to be in fifth grade and go sliding down on your face during recess.

Of course cake was to be had. Bella shows no fear around food. If it is edible, she will eat it!!

She just could not get enough of that cake, she had to get up close and personal. But boy, was she mad when Cami cleaned her off. She doesn't cry, she just yells and grunts in your general direction.

This morning I taught the Junior High Sunday School. These girls are great!! It makes me soo excited for youth camp this summer. Since my Wednesday night classes take up helping with Wednesday night youth, getting to fill in is such a treat! It is great to see such nice young ladies, when all that you might hear are bad things about teens these days.

As per usual on Sundays, the afternoon is spent with Sara Li. She has been a little feisty lately trying to fight off an ear infection...and today I think she just needed a break from life. So we got Starbucks and watched Toy Story 3 (great movie by the way)!!

Fingernail Friday.

Guess what I did today??

I got my nails did!! My friend Val was going to get hers done and I was green with envy so I went too :) She even paid for it--I am dog sitting for them this weekend. I am pretty sure I would dog sit every weekend if someone would pay for my nails to get done every week...but alas, tis not life.

I only wanted a solid color, because I do not want to be flashy, but I got one finger lookin all jazzy!! I would call it subtle flash ;)

What is it about getting your nails done that is so relaxing and puts that extra "pep" in your step? I don't know, but I don't hate it!!!

I was driving out to my friends house on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. I was coming from Grace and did not want to back track and go the way I usually come from my house. So I drove East for a little bit and then turn to the north.

The sun was out, my sunroof was open, and my shades were on.

After about 10 minutes on the same road I got a little worried because I had not driven by ANYTHING familiar.

I drove by a lake that was not Tippy...I was going Sixty (I am a sweet rhymer)

Unfortunately the speed limit was only 30...in the country...who does that...?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??????

That is when I saw it, the sleek-window tinted-cruiser. I though nothing of it, I was in the country!! As I was peering in my review mirror (you know you all look in the mirror if a police officer passes) he did a u turn.

...uh...

...poop on a stick...why are his lights on....uhh....

These were the thoughts running through my head:
-Oh no I have a zit on my forhead
-My hair is in a ponytail, how am I supposed to flip it and smile at him?
-Will he think those coffee flavors are alcohol?
-Okay good, Pulse FM is on
-Sweet no ring on his finger...turn on the charm :)

He wasted NO time getting down to business, "Ma'am (whoa dude, I'm not a ma'am yet) I pulled you over for going 60 in a 30." This is where my mouth dropped open, and I calculated how many coffee drinks this ticket I was bound to get was going to cost me.
"May I see you liscence and registration?"
I replied, "Uh, sure..." This is where he is looking through at my backseat and I send a prayer upward.
"Are you from around here ma'am?" (what is with the ma'am crap?)
"I am from Plymouth, trying to get to Lake Tippy, to Camp Crosley. Clearly this is the wrong lake!"
He just turns around with my papers and goes to his car....

...I wait....

...and wait...

He gets out of his cruiser, mosies on up to Milan and hands me a WARNING!! Oh PRAISE THE LORD, I enjoy my coffee way to much!! I really think God was just sparing my friends ;)

"Please slow down ma'am." (Dude, I am only 25, yes I'll be 26 in less than two months which is almost 30, but I ain't no ma'am)

I asked for directions...he looks at me, "Turn left, then immediate right, Camp Crosley is football field away." I think he even smirked...made me want to smack the smirk off his ma'am speakin face.

Two minutes later I pulled up to Heather's house...geez

Sometimes I feel that I do not have what it takes to be a blogger...and that is time.

It is finally time to wind down, and it is 10:20!!! Blah on that crap!!! Been runnin' round busy and homeworky all dang day...the outcome will be worth it, it will be worth it, it will....yep...right?!?!?

I was going to post some pictures from the beautiful-ness that was outside yesterday but left my memory card at home...ugh..

But I have chocolate to sooth me from this crazy day so YEAH!!!
Even though all the little sayings on the wrappers have been about love and I can't speed anymore, (well at least for a month or two) :) Stupid love and no speeding :/

I'll share my speeding story when I am in a better mood and it is not so late!!

Laundry Day...

After four loads of laundry (for just my clothes) and two lifetime movies later, I was finished!!

Happy April Fool's Day

Lucky for me no one played any tricks on me!! YEAH!!

If you read my blog then you know that I am doing a photography project where I take a picture a day for a year. I post them on fllickr but no one sees them so I am going to start posting them here too :) The first seven are up from a few weeks ago, so I will post seven till I catch up :)

The ladies in the above picture are two people that I thank God are in my life!!! I meet them at Grace and I remember sitting down next to Beth in Science and saying, "Hi, I am Casi. What's your name?" I felt like I was in 5th grade, but I am glad I did because Beth and Lena were already friends and I joined their ranks :) Love you girls with all of my heart!!

This is the laptop that I am currently typing away on...though now it is for FUN!! This semester has been one of the hardest homework wise. I have something due for every class every time it meets. (Maybe not, but I feel like it) So my laptop has been my best friend this semester.

My Granny and niece Bella. My grandma had a tough time last month and was in a rehabilitation home to gain some strength back from a bleeding ulcer. Now she is home and happy, and so is the rest of the family!! The little cutie is Issabella, you can see more pictures and learn about her here :)

This picture makes me laugh every time I see it!! Carter was not loving his first birthday cake!! He was so funny, you could tell that he was trying to get into the cake, but was totally not feeling it.

Since the arrival of my new spiffy camera I have felt the need to start a 365 project. I started one a few years ago, but it was where I took a picture of myself everyday and that lasted maybe a month. Since then I realized that I do not have to take a picture of myself to constitute a 365--just a picture everyday that means something to me :)

Day One: Me, being my sassy self :)

Day Three: Sara--She is one amazing girl :)

Day Four: Obviously it was snowing...Luckily today it was in the 50's. Winter is my favorite season, but when March rolls around there is a limit to my love for snow and such things wintery!!

Today I had my first Exam in my Bible class. The prof provided a wonderful study guide, it almost seemed too easy!! The exam questions where all on the study guide but he asked them in different forms than the study guide. I did okay but not superb, this chick definitely is no Biblical genius.

Now onto my next task at hand --Methods of Math Journals. Never has one been completed early, always on the day they are due :) Procrastination is my strong-suit!! Have to work with what God skilled me with...right?!?!?

So I have started to work out again at our local gym. I have forgotten how much fun working out can be! I like to do the classes the best! Zumba is my favorite, followed by Body Pump!

This past weekend I went to Chicago with my sister, niece, and friends to do a 5K walk. It was a lot of fun! Of course afterward I treated myself to some cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory!! Yummo!

I really enjoy waking up early and getting my coffee (I have a new espresso maker) and watching the "Today Show" and "Regis and Kelly" there is nothing better than getting a great start to your day!!

My plan for this morning is to finish putting away my laundry and then sweep out my car. I think those two things can easily be accomplished!

On the ~~FACEBOOK~~ front, I have to say that I don't even think about getting on it anymore. WOOT!

Memorial Day!

So this morning started off with a 'BANG' literally. We had a crazy 20 minutes thunderstorm around 8:00a.m. I thought it was going to rain all day so I hurried my dog outside to go potty. But the storm stopped, rolled out as quickly as it came in! After going back to bed for an hour...or two...okay two! I am know enjoying my coffee outside under the canopy thing.

It has also been a little over 24 hours since I have deleted my ~~facebook~~ account. I am feeling really good about it!!

--I have not even went to the ~~facebook~~ page to log in! I do think that is because I deleted it from my bookmarks, because I have gone to my bookmarks to go to ~~facebook~~, but it not being there reminds me!

--Heather had the best reaction yet of my ~~facebook~~ debacle!

--Last night I slept through the whole night with out waking up! I know that probably has nothing to do with ~~facebook~~, but for now, it has EVERYTHING to do with it! :)

Well I am going to get ready for the day and then head down to the Rootbeer Stand for lunch.

I have deactivated my facebook account. I need to spend time away from "I knew that from facebook!" and "Yeah, I say that on facebook."

Plus I have realized that I spend too much time on there, and not enough on other things in life that are way more important!! --Like getting a tan :)

On Friday I went to South Bend with my sister, and had a Creme Brulee! That is my favorite dessert! That evening I went to see "Last Song" with Cami and Jenny. It is a really good movie, despite Miley Cyrus using the B- word once--not cool Hannah Montana, NOT COOL!

Saturday I went to Beth's and colored Easter Eggs with her family! May I add, her family is GRREEAATTT!

Sunday was Easter, I went to church, while sitting in church my headache turned into a migraine, so I took a nap. Felt really pukey, didn't go to my families Easter. Walked with Val and then watched "Easter Parade" (tradition)!!!!

I started my Monday with a great walk, then went to my sisters and helped her get their house ready for the baby!! Got a pedicure, then came home and started to read a "fun" book!!! Now I am watching one of the my favorite shows, "Chuck"!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

Blah, Blah, Blah....This Week Sucks!

Okay, so this is the week before Spring Break...whoopie right? Uhh, NO. This has been a trying week.
I have forgotten to do two major homework assignments, and will spend my first official hours of Spring Break playing catch-up....blah.

One is for my Exploring the Bible class. We had to do a time-line, which he hasn't mentioned since two weeks ago. Well two weeks ago was when I had Strep-throat, hence not knowing it was actually due today!

The other Effective Writing. Our outline and intro was due for our persuasive paper. I obviously wasn't too persuaded to do the work....

What is wrong with me! I don't forget to do homework! I suck at tests, so homework is all I have!

I will also love any suggestions for some fun things to do over Spring Break. I am staying home and I might try my hand at geo caching (or however you say it) one day. Then starting next Friday I will be house-sitting. I am excited because they have a gym in the basement and a sauna! Woot! But their dog is really old and I am so fearful that it will die when ever I house sit for them. But Bailey always seems to pull through :)

This may seem strange, but I really do enjoy Monday mornings. I do not have to be to class until 1, but still have to get up early. After I get home from taking Sara to school around 8:30 I get to spend the morning relaxing. I enjoy my coffee and egg sandwich.

While listening to the radio this morning, the DJ's
gave a challenge to not spend any money on food this
week. I am going to try that, well at least until Friday when
I see Heather and hopefully we go to Blue Lion and get
creme brulee!!! They have the BEST creme brulee!

My friend Jenny is in the hospital about to have a new bundle-of-joy! I am so excited for them, all I ask is that the baby has red hair! Okay well I better get some homework finished and get clothes around for my Monday night sleep over at Aunt Marcia and Uncle Bob's.

While at dinner with friends Thursday night we got talking about our blogs. So I thought I would start to write something at least once a week.

But then the quandary of what to write about?

Some times I do not feel like I have a whole lot to say.

Testing, Testing, One, Two, Exam!

Well talk about crazy times at Ridgemont High! There are two weeks before Fall Break and all the Professors are giving us exams, presentations, lab practicum(which will be the death of my Bio grade!), many many idea logs...

Luckily I am handling it all really well. Or at I am happily in denial about it :)
I am surprised at how easily the workload is for me. Everyone said your first semester is going to be the hardest being overwhelmed with the syllabus all the projects and such. I am very blessed because I am enjoying all of the projects and happily crossing them off the syllabus as a I complete them!

WooHoo! I am also taking advantage of the Rec Center on campus and I am off right now to go lift some weights.

Cheerleading

As of right now the Plymouth High School cheerleaders are wrecking havoc on the town!! I sent them on a scavenger hunt before our cookout and scrimmage tonight. I hope they have fun!! I told them that I was not responsible for any tickets or law breaking!! Maybe I should have called the police and gave them a heads up to go easy on any speeding vehicles full of high school girls with bows in their hair and matching white t-shirts, time will tell...30 minutes till they have to be back at my house!

On another note, I am an official Grace Lancer!! I got accepted to Grace College in Winona Lake, IN. I am really excited to start because all of my classes are based on teaching!!

That is how I feel about life right now!

--Lowe's, well let's just say this past month is the first time that I have truly wanted to quit! There are some people that have it out for me and I constantly have to watch everything I do or a certain manager will jump at the chance to write me up.

--But I am totally excited that cheerleading has started up again! There is something about helping teens that I really like, especially girls who need a little extra support in their life.

--School is going okay. Summer classes are only eight weeks so it is not so bad, Earth Science might make me go insane, but it will only make me stronger!

Oh, I feel great things happening this summer...not sure what those things will be, but I can feel it!

Panera

So it is Thursday, I am sitting here at Panera Bread like I usually do and one of the workers offers me a free sample of a delicious drink. Yumm!!! Then she says, "Where do I know you from? I fee like I have seen you somewhere." My reply, "Oh, I'm in here a lot! Every Thursday, and sometimes Tuesday."

--Is it a bad thing when the employees think they know you from some where else because you are at their establishment so much? But I just love Panera Bread!!

Oh, I am also all done with this semester....woohoo! All A's as well.....woohoo! Just waiting to hear from Holy Cross. No matter what happens I only have two years left...That is a nice thought!

Shower Time!!

Cami and her first bridal shower yesterday! It was at her school in LaPorte. It was a lot of fun and the cake was amazing! One of the other teachers made it. It looked like a little beach. Cami also got a lot of good loot too! You can see more pictures on my facebook site!

Some more fun news is that my friend's Brook and Corey have a little baby girl named Lily Rhoades they are in California just waiting for the paper work to be finished up and then they will be on their way back to Indiana with their little bud!

Why is it, that I practically fall over in the afternoon from exhaustion, but am not tired in the least bit when it actually comes to bed time? I was up till after midnight last night when all I wanted to do yesterday was take a nap....Now today the same stinkin' thing happened, guess what? Not tired right now, I guess it is only 9!!
But still...at least I could feel a little sleepy.

So I tell people that I don't really like Reality Shows, but I do.

Now with DWTS, it's not really reality because I mean who really dance's with stars? Not I! So I guess that show doesn't really count as a Reality Television Show...right...?

The Biggest Loser, also does not really count either....I mean who loses weight on National Television, crap I can't even lose weight period...so that is not Reality Television either....so I guess I really don't watch Reality T.V.

So, I don't really watch Reality T.V.!

I am almost done with this semester of school!

It really has not been that difficult, but it is nice to know that I am one semester closer to graduating. I am trying to get everything together to transfer to a four year college. Hopefully things work out with Holy Cross, they are a small school and seem really friendly. Plus they offer scholarships to transfer students...that would be me!

This Sunday I am going to my very first Cub's game! I am excited, originally I was going to go with my brother and nephew, but now I am going with Cami and Lisa! It should be an amazing girls day! Hopefully in the summer I can go with Sam and Max.

Too bad the warm weather went away! It was so beautiful, sunny in the 80's and now it is back in the 50's and rainy...dangit! It better be nice this weekend for the game!
